Each program at the Career Center is required to have an Advisory Committee made up of active professionals in the industry. These professionals help to shape the curriculum, make suggestions as to the acquisition of equipment, deliver classroom lectures and critique student work / give one-on-one portfolio reviews.

EJ Bartlett has been working in the graphic design profession since 1995. She got her start in film and photography at Virginia Tech where she earned her undergraduate degree. After college, she moved to Washington DC where she was immersed in Web design and development when the Web was in its infancy. Her career then took her out to San Diego to work for a small advertising agency and design firm, where she worked with such clients as Apple and Hewlett-Packard. In the spring of 2004, she moved once again to Denver to work with McClain Finlon advertising where she art directed a team of designers. She serviced a wide range of clients there and continued to expand her skill set as a designer. She designed logos, ads, retail space, packaging, corporate identities, and Web sites. She also utilized her photography skills and became the in-house photographer for many company promotional projects.
In 2008 EJ took the big plunge and went out on her own, starting EJ Creative. Since its inception she has worked for a variety of clients including: Confluence Kayaks, Divine Cowgirl, Middlebury College, Qwest Communications, RockResorts, Seventh Generation, Surgical Care Affiliates, Swanson Rink Engineering, and Vail Resorts. The firm offers a broad range of design services from environmental design to identity development.
